Blog Tour (a look into my other classmates’ blogs)

The first blog I looked at was Talk of Sports. This blog focuses primarily on current controversies in the sports communities. I really appreciated how the blog posts followed a very easy to follow format. The posts were broken up nicely by pictures and videos allowing the reader to never feel overwhelmed by the mass of text.  Even though I didn’t know much about either of the instances written about I still felt as though I understood what was going on.I also found it very interesting that the author shared the opinions of others who are prominent in the sports world. He then shared how his own opinions differed on the matters. I also thought that the added videos from other sources really enhanced the interest of the blog. It gave the blog something that really drew you in. Each read is fast but entertaining so It would be easy to find yourself lost in this blog reading each of the different articles without consuming too much of your time.

The second blog I explored which was written by my classmates was Tay Blog. Tay’s blog was focuses primarily on fashion. To go even further, the fashion item that he discusses most often are shoes. When you read his blog posts you can tell that he has a deep appreciation for fashion especially when it comes to shoes. The large pictures really draw your eye to the post. It is also very nice how each post is very short and to the point this means that reader can be easily engaged throughout the whole post.

The last blog that explored for my blog tour was Wei’s Little Space.Right off the bat, my favorite thing about this blog was how organized it was. Her blog had six different pages including her home page. I appreciated how her post very separated into very specific categories.  Her blog was focused on travel. Each post contained tons of very colorful pictures instantly drawing my eye. These pictures also helped to break up all the text so it felt like a shorter read. These pictures may have helped reader stay engaged and not feel overwhelmed by all the texts in each of her posts. I also appreciated the option to look at the past posts that you had archived. The archive option allows you to still keep you old posts on your page without overshadowing your blogs new purpose. This way if someone decided they wanted to read more of the things that you had written because they liked your writing, they could, but if they didn’t they wouldn’t have to.
